汽車道というのは横浜臨港線という貨物線の線路の跡地を利用した遊歩道です。この横浜臨港線は、現在のＪＲ根岸線桜木町駅の東側にあった旧東横浜駅から赤レンガ倉庫脇の旧横浜港駅まで走っていました。
